I need motivation. Someone give me some, or at least tell me I’m not alone in this horrible writer’s block feeling at the moment. I can’t bring myself to even open either of my multi’s or work on a oneshot prompt I was given.
Okay!!
You ready??
Go to Pinterest. Type in a ship or whatever it is you’re trying to move past, then scroll.
SCROLL GIRL.
Tidbits of inspiration will hit you in the face.
It works for me.
If not? I email my betas. And I talk through the plot lines with them. (They are sacred little treasure hoarders that promise never to repeat my story to outsiders until it’s published. Isn’t that right, @kiss-me-khaos ?)
It is good to see the main plot line that you want to follow. From there, you can branch out into crevices of side stories and feels.
Then I keep a copy of that email so I can look back on it and go “oh yeah, that’s where I was going with this.”So far so good!! I love pinterest! And I think I need a beta just for the fact of helping move the plot along and get a different perspective. Yes. I need a beta.
It happens, trust me. I got a TON of unfinished Gajevy stories in my little vault I’m STILL working on. Best advice is to take a little time, find some inspiration like for example something that happened in your life that was hilarious. Or maybe a movie that had a scene that screamed your OTP. That’s what I can offer right now
