So to get right to the point, Gajeels age. Many people question Gajeels age. We all know he dose come from the past. So obviously he is more than 100 years old, but his physical age is still very much a big question mark.
When I first elaborated on this particular part of the fandome, I stated Wendy was 12, Natsu was 17-19, and Gajeel was 20-25. Wendy’s age was, of course, confirmed, but Natsu’s and Gajeel’s was still kinda in the shadows. I guessed this was there age because when there dragons left it was x777 and when the anime started it was x789? X781? I’m not to sure. But all the math pointed to the boys being this age. But I believe Gajeel might be a bit older then I had thought, a lot older actually.

As you can see in the picture below Mash said “…15 years…"so obviously Gajeel is older then 15. But you can also see Gajeel looks to be 13-15 in this picture and when Mash is describing there life as “teens”. So if you do the math. Gajeel must be at least 28, maybe even 30 to be honest. Allot of people might say. “But Levy is 18, she cant be with a 30 year old!” or even “no that’s to old!” well yes that is morally incorrect for us! but remember Fiori is not us. Cana started drinking at 14! There laws are much different.
I believe Gajeel is 30 to even 40 years old. Those are my thoughts anyway. What do you guys think?

I can see that, but also remember; if this is cannon, when did this arc take place? Before or after tenro island?

Well it seemed to me Gajeel was 12 when he arrived through the Eclipse Gate. I do believe this takes place sometime after the Tenrou Island Arc because Levy is more interactive with Gajeel and Droy is heavy. The series started in X784. So he was about 19 during the Phantom Lord Arc. Minusing the 7 year gap I would say he’s between 19-25 years old. Not only that the translations could be wrong.
