Chapter 3: The Figure
The first Black Market Auction for The Tres of Spades Las Vegas was a major hit and every item was selling like hot cakes. You wore a wine red dress with your hair up in a bun and a simple diamond necklace. As you watched the Mad Hatter begin to sell a very expensive ring, a sigh escaped your lips.
“What’s wrong ___________?” Baba whispered, obviously concerned.
“I-it’s nothing.” you reply.
“I don’t know kid,” Mamorou butted in “when you sigh like that, it means something’s up.”
“Well….” you draw out. Seeing there was no point, you told the guys about your experiences in the new house. The cellphone moving, the music turning off, the presence behind you, someone blowing on your neck, the sudden cold air.
“So you’re saying you’ve been having experiences with a ghost?” Baba asked.
“Tch,” Eisuke tsked “there’s no such thing as ghosts.”
“I don’t know….” Ota said unsure “I once had to stay in a manor for an art deal and I watched the ghost of the original owner walk through the walls of my room.”
“I once thought I saw my grandfather.” Soryu surprisingly said.
“Soryu, you believe in ghosts?” you ask.
“Well, I’ve had an experience, so yes I do.”
“You’re literally one of the last people I would expect to believe in ghosts.” Baba replied.
“You’re all talking nonsense.” Eisuke flat out said “You were all either drunk or tired with sleep.”
“Eisuke,” Soryu explained “just because you’ve never seen a ghost, doesn’t mean you should think it’s nonesence.”
“Our final item up for sale today!” the Mad Hatter called out “This expert Ghost Hunting Kit! With the best supplies found! EVP recorder, thermal imager, ghost box, smudging sticks, this kit has everything you need to check for paranormal activity!”
“The hell?” Eisuke asked “I don’t remember that being made the final item!”
“Yeah it was a last minute decision.” Baba shrugged.
“Damnit!” Eisuke whispered harshly “Why wasn’t I made aware?”
“You were busy!” Ota pouted “And besides, it was a slow week for Baba!” Baba nodded in agreement “Hey _________________, if you’re experiencing some paranormal activity maybe this kit will help you!”
“I don’t know,” you admit to Ota “if it will help, I guess I could go for it.”
“Now!” The Mad Hatter called out loud “We’re starting the bid at 11,399 yen ($100) the bids began slowly and there wasn’t much interest in the kit but then on a wild impusle, you bidded 39,895 yen ($350 dollars) on the kit.
“Sold!” The Mad Hatter called out “To number 3,599.”
“Hey, you got it!” Baba smiled at you.
“Still a waste of money.” Eisuke muttered “But, if it makes my woman happy then so be it.”

You and Eisuke arrived back home ten minutes after the auction with the ghost kit and a camera for some odd reason Eisuke bought (you already had an idea what he planned).
“Eisuke,” you said “I’m going to take a bath, work was a bit of a killer on me today.”
“Very well then.” Eisuke replied, beginning to flip through the channels on the TV. You went upstairs into your put the Ghost Hunter kit down and then made your way to the first floor bathroom.

The bathroom was large and heavily luxurious. A large pit in the center of the bathroom that was the bathtub, seats inside the tub, luxurious massaging jets and a digital tablet with options for a bubble bath as well as a ceiling shower head. You take the digital tablet and begin to set the bath up to the correct temperature, adding a bathbomb and some bubble bath soap and waited for the water to fill up. Once going to the correct height, you strip down and gently make your way into the tub. You sit down on the built in bench provided by the tub and felt every muscle in your body relax to the hot water. You turned on the music that played the sounds of ocean waves and lowered the light levels a slight bit. You began to close your eyes and allow the water and music to take you away from the stress you recieved earlier that day.
But as you relaxed, you felt a chill go down your spine. Goosebumps formed all over your skin despite being in the hot waters; but to fix it, you chose to take a deep breath and go under the water to re-warm your body. When you pop back up for fresh air, you let out the held breath and notice you can see your breath, when you look up you noticed a dark figure sitting in the bathtub across from you, slowly getting up and making it’s way to you. You were glued to your seat, paralyzed by fear. You tried to scream but couldn’t find your voice. Just when he was mere inches from you, you felt adrenaline rush into your veins and found your voice. You scream an ear-piercing scream and scatter out of the tub like a cat that lost it’s footing.
You run out of the bathroom, not caring your current clothes situation but soon ran into a wall, only to realize it wasn’t a wall but a concerned Eisuke.
“______________!” he said “__________________, calm down! It’s me!” you catch your breath and he clutched your shoulders “What’s wrong?”
“There was something in the bathroom!” you frantically stated “I-I-It got into the tub with me and started getting closer to me! It was some kind of figure!” pailing in anger, Eisuke made his way to the old desk in the living room and pulled a gun out of the draw. Eisuke sat you down on the couch and took the safety off the gun, making his way into the bathroom.

He slowly crept into the bathroom looking around for the figure that scared you. He made his way to the towel closet and opened it quickly and pointed his gun. Only to see no one there. Realizing whatever it was was gone, Eisuke grabbed a large, fluffy towel, drained the bathtub and went to the living room where you still sat shaken up.
“There was no one there.” Eisuke sighed a little agitatedly while placing the towel on you “I checked everywhere and no one was there.”
“Eisuke, I swear!” you tell him “There was someone there!”
“Well whatever it was it’s gone.” a moment of silence passed before Eisuke spoke up again “____________, are you making up excuses just because you don’t like the house?” you look at Eisuke in shock he would accuse you of such a thing.
“I love the house Eisuke!” you tell him honestly “It’s beautiful! But I told you their’s something off with it!”
“Yeah.” he muttered “I didn’t spend enough.”
“No! It’s not that! I wouldn’t have care if you even got us the crappiest cottage in town! There’s something in this house Eisuke! Something not of the ordinary!”
“I told you already _________________. There is no such thing as ghosts! They don’t exist!” getting annoyed and upset that he wouldn’t believe you, you clutch the towel tighter to your body and get up.
“I’m going to bed Eisuke; I got work in the morning. Good night.” you leave the room and make your way to your closet where you change into simple pajamas and tuck yourself into bed, unable to sleep right away. Remember that uneasy feeling you got when you first entered the house? You knew what it was now.
