As a writer on fanfiction I have to say this. I can’t speak for all but I can for some.
When you leave a review don’t say “Can you update faster” honestly it’s so rude! We have a life outside of fanfiction and can’t be on it all day. We try our best to update new chapters as much as possible and don’t take it the wrong way we appreciate if you enjoy our stories, but telling us to update faster cause we’re taking to long is so annoying. Don’t take it as me coming after people that do this but you guys need understand it really makes some of us (me especially) not wanna update at all. When we see reviews pop up in our emails we’re hoping for feed back or a little love and yeah I’m fine with the “I hope you update soon” (I can’t speak for all authors) but don’t tell us to update faster cause first you’re not taking your time to type, edit, and post a chapter. Secondly you don’t know what happen in our lives that we might to need to take a pause off fanfiction for awhile.

This! I appreciate any feedback I get, but at the same time telling me to hurry up stresses me out.
Amen to that, I love every bit of comments I get but when people ask me to update faster it makes me want to write less. Which is a bad thing cause I love writing fanfiction. Hell, I got a life too, I’m working to get a degree and a minor. Last semester was so bad with me I lost a lot of time on writing fanfiction and I’m still paying the price for it.
