The fact that this play I have to read for one of my classes is literally 68 pages long, or that it’s so awful I can’t even grasp what the hell is going on.
What are you reading?!?
@littlestme-ff The Bacchae
Well… at least it won first prize in the City Dionysia festival competition… I can’t really follow it… I mean I can see where it is heading but… (๑•ૅㅁ•๑) it’s a head scratcher and I thought I understood Greeks..
I’ve always respected the Greek culture and their myths. I was always fascinated by it for as long as I can remember. I read a ton of Greek stories in my schooling days but my god this is the biggest pile I’ve ever seen and I barley scratched the first part! I can’t even read it I’m sorry it’s that bad and made no sense.
I agree the Greeks are so interesting! I love the mythical creature stories… I’ve only skimmed what I can find and read a summary and that summary was a ball of confusion… it does make you think why you can’t follow or why it feels so bad when it did so well when it was originally written…
I know! I have the script and it’s mainly long ass paragraphs to whom plays the chorus and a cocky jerk who wants to be worshipped because his mom was knocked up by a god. Why couldn’t this project be that of how medusa came to be 😫
