I had a kids bunk bed when I was a kid. It was a single bunk bed with a trundle bed (the lower bunk) that slid out like a drawer and had a computer desk where I could work. I got rid of it because I was growing at a pretty healthy rate and by the time sixth grade hit my head was constantly hitting the ceiling.
