Sorry guys, this is going to be a massive rant. Ok, so I am only one class shy from my degree, and I am in the final stretch of that and I can say I’m happy about that. Here’s the kicker of all of this: My class is a statistics class (I hate math and anything involving the subject) and the class is heavily requiring the usage of a particular website (I am not giving out the name of it). Here’s the core of my problems with this class: The website constantly crashes, and the work the website creates is unbelievably annoying.
About close to two weeks ago, I was in the middle of studying on the website when a massive crash occurred, causing everyone in my class unable to use the website. My teacher had to compromise and push a test that’s a good chunk of my grade right there back. My teacher is not to blame here, she’s actually a really nice lady and I respect the heck out of her. I also had dealings with this website in a previous class and it wasn’t much to jump up and down over. It has a lot of flaws and gets certain answers incorrect and last week really hit a chord with me.
Last week, I was in the middle of the test when it crashed. It didn’t crash just on me only; it crashed on EVERYONE USING IT! It took two people to go onto the website and find a way around fixing it. Earlier today, I went back to finish up work on some work due tomorrow and again, it crashed. I got the head of the Math department’s email and I’m going to file a complaint tonight.
God, why couldn’t my last required class be an art or writing class?
Update: after I wrote this, I emailed the math department filing a complaint. I didn’t get a reply. My father was furious with everything going on with the website so he called multiple numbers including the man I emailed who never replied. I checked my email just now and now the guy who’s in charge emails me back. Cute.
As for me, I’ve reached a mental state where I just don’t give a crap anymore about this class. Whatever happens happens.
