Yes this could have to do with the fact that Freya the Norse Goddess of love, beauty and fertility drove a chariot pulled by cats.
So, if I ever get married, I fully expect a catmobile.
One of the other reasons why they gave cats to each other was for their valuable skills as mousers. Cats were able to control rodent populations around their properties.
Also, Norse myths are thought to have the earliest literary descriptions of the Norwegian Forest Cat. They were described as large, strong cats that drew Freya’s chariot and were so heavy that not even Thor, God of Thunder, could lift them from the floor. (Source)
They kinda live up to the legend, too. Your average Norwegian Forest Cat is twenty pounds of solid muscle, with claws large and strong enough to climb solid rock. They’ve been known to attack bears when defending their territory. And yet they’re one of the cuddliest breeds out there, particularly noted for being patient with small children.
I have a Norwegian mix, and can attest that she is the cuddliest cat but also insane enough to try and fight a bear.

OK, the latest chapter for The Devil’s contract I want to keep a bit secretive so here’s a one shot I started on a bit recently:
The Outer World: "Hey Levy!“ A voice called out "Are you done?” A young woman with a large bust, long blonde hair, brown eyes and wearing an Arabian like cloth like dress with no shoes ran over to a young woman who was writing on a large stack of papers.”
Attention fanfic writers: If you use Google Docs to write/store/back-up your fics, you might want to download anything you don’t already have backed up elsewhere. Google is apparently invading and deleting people’s personal drive content thanks to the FOSTA/SESTA bill that recently passed through Congress. Essentially, it criminalizes ANY platform where sexual content could be placed.
It may also be worth making sure you have offline back-ups of any and all fics you have posted here on Tumblr and on AO3, in case Yahoo get antsy (they’ve been cracking down on the porn bot tumblrs already) and OTW face a legal challenge to take down AO3. I’m hoping that’s not the case – but I was on LiveJournal during Strikethrough in 2007 and I remember the way that whole communities as well as individual LJ accounts were deleted and purged; it was instrumental in the founding of AO3 in the first place. That was a widespread purge of fanfic writers and communities, LGBT+ communities and writers and more, all due to legal threats that SixApart, the company that owned and hosted LiveJournal, received due to allegedly hosting paedophile content. After Strikethrough was over and LJ admitted they’d gone OTT, there were a number of communities and accounts that didn’t get reinstated. I’ve always been quite careful not to have my Tumblr flagged up as NSFW in part because of that. Given the number of Facebook accounts that get temporary or permanent suspensions thanks to malicious false reports, I have very little confidence that Tumblr’s staff won’t make mistakes.
I’m not sure what this means for collaborative fics; but Google Docs probably aren’t a safe platform for that anymore.
If this is news to anyone else, listen, whatever happens in the world of politics, backing up your stuff is always a good and necessary thing. Do it and do it often. Be wise. Nothing is certain. Nothing is stable. Even data decays. In a world of rapidly-decreasing hard copies, you must perform backups. It’s not paranoia, it’s prevention.

This is probably paranoia anyway, but one can’t be too careful
If you use a mac, there is something called Google Backup and Sync that puts everything from your Google Drive onto your computer. (It can also take everything from your computer and put it on your Google Drive; you probably want to uncheck that when that option comes up.) It takes a little bit of work but once you have it set up, wham, everything is down on your computer–as opposed to downloading one file at a time.
Easiest way seems to be to go into “My Accounts” in Google, then choose “Control Your Content”, then “Create Archive,” and then unselect everything except Google Drive and create a zip of all your stuff.
And while you’re at it call your representatives and tell them you’re pissed at this. Not just because of free speech but because SESTA/FOSTA is literally gonna kill people

The Researcher
akin to the lore-ist but spends more of their time on wikipedia articles jotting down notes and things like how much a watermelon weighs
Everything from knowing Too Much about child-care to how a body decomposes or flapper chest-binding is on the table, their breadth is large and Should Be Feared
takes a long time to start but make the most of their words, from spot-on sci-fi to history to murder, readers will learn something on the way
The Lemon Flavored Factory
alright take it back now y’all, this writer has written enough smut to make a tom cat blush, they can write other things too, and often well, but there will inevitably be bed-rattling at some point (or car or shower)
either unusually creative or just sticks to classics like Aliens Made Them Do It, neither is necessarily bad but there is oddly little in between
their author’s notes tend to be hilarious or at least very self-aware
The Word Vomit Canoe
action oriented writer who spews out the words before they know what is happening, no plans, no outlines, 10k of the first thing that comes to mind, sometimes things like ‘maybe dragons?’ & they go with it

Ok, earlier today a good friend of mine on here was harassed by an anonymous. I’ve known for the longest time and seen on my close to three years here on tumblr people getting harassed, amazing artists and writers going because of anon hate. I’m from America, and in America we don’t tolerate bullying of any kind. In fact, it became illegal in some states and you could go to prison for a few years because of it.
But today, after seeing my friend get bullied for something she likes was the last straw for me. I turned off the ask anon on my page since I started on here close to three years ago. And I know people who’re shy like using the anon ask but I personally don’t see a point in it anymore!
This became nothing but a tool for assholes and trolls to cause harm to everyone on tumblr who enjoys something! That’s why I’m making this proposal: I want to stop anon hate once and for all. So my proposal is this:
We spread the word, show our stories of anon hate here on tumblr and tag the support staff multiple times UNTIL THEY SEE that the anon option is not needed. I want to propose THAT ANON OPTION IS SHUT DOWN FOR GOOD! How long until all these trolls and assholes run all the good people off of tumblr? This is supposed to be a fun website, not one about getting picked on or threatened with rape. I’m going to call this “Project: Stop Anon Hate”.
Anyone who reads this, tag the tumblr staff, post your evidences of anon hate occurring towards you, reblog, signal boost, I don’t care. Just get the word out!!!!!
