I simply do not understand some people in the Fairy Tail fandom at times…

Take today’s chapter for instance: the Gajevy community finally got a little fanservice for their OTP (which in my opinion was long overdue) and suddenly I hear of people saying things like it was “disgusting”, “how dare Mashima draw something like that?” and that it was similar to a rape situation? 

What the actual fuck? Did we read the same manga? In no way, shape or form of was the bathhouse scene a “rape” situation.

“Oh but Levy was crying when Gajeel fell on top of her.” Uh yeah, it’s called EMBARRASSMENT! Wouldn’t you react the same way if someone you had strong feelings for suddenly fell on top of you, clothed or not? I certainly would! And yes, believe it or not, some people do cry when they are embarrassed and/or flustered at the same time. It’s not like this was planned out like some evil scheme.

I find it appalling that people would actually think this. And please stop bashing and bad mouthing Mashima about what he draws. He knows what he is doing and he wouldn’t draw a scene that involves something as serious and offensive as rape.

But I suppose these same people who are crying wolf wouldn’t say this if it was their OTP in that situation
