Don’t want to spoil it except to say that I think people are really underestimating the series when in truth some things can be far-fetched; but it’s good when you look past everything. This chapter I think personally is one of the best in this so far and is just adding the vibe Mashima always have when a big battle comes in. Also just one major comment:

Guess who’s back!
Volume 1 of Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest is out now in Japan. As said here, there are still a large portion of Fairy Tail fans who don’t know of this sequel. Mashima and Ueada are really trying to keep FT going for us, so spread the word!
Here’s a theory I have of her. Well, it goes a few ways pretty much. Now that Jellal has confronted her, were seeing her as this oblivious person and here’s my theories as to what’s up:
1. She’s a bullshit artist: meaning she’s pulling crap and pretending she isn’t aware of the stuff going on or the crimes she’s committed.
2. She has a split personality: meaning one side is this innocent girl who only knows herself to be this girl who uses water magic and not the monster Jellal knows her as. While the other side is this monstrous bitch who steals your magic and will kill you with the flick of her wrist. There have been cases where people with split personalities have different memories from their other personalities and aren’t aware of the other personality.
3. She has amnesia: she might’ve konked her head before joining Fairy Tail and it explains why she isn’t aware of all of this.
4. She was cursed with Ankaherham Black Curse Magic: if you guys recall the ending of Fairy Tail, Mavis and Zeref die, but we see them a year later with new identities and no memories of their past lives. Could it be possible the same has happened to Touka?
Well, these are my theories on the chick who’s coo coo for Natsupuffs. Anyone else has some good theories let me know!
And for my opinion on the recent chapter: LOVED IT!!!
I want to just bring up to everyone to remember that when chapters of 100 year Quest or Eden’s Zero aren’t that great, please remember that he’s not in complete control of the series. Part of being a mangaka is working with an editor that is trying to make things quicker or change things around. Mashima once admitted the whole dragon cry movie was an arc he wanted to put in the manga before it ended but couldn’t due to editorial restrictions. This also applies to a lot of other mangas out there so just remember to keep that in mind!
I knew that it was indeed an open ending! The whole chapter takes place immediately where the series left off. I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially a chick who’s cookoo for Natsu puffs (sorry sweet cheeks but his heart belongs to Lucy, or plue if you ship that like Todd Haberkorn). But I don’t fully know what the 100 year quest is just yet, except that there’s a dragon and the first mages guild in existence involves.
Otherwise to read it, I immediately didn’t hesitate since well yeah, I’m a big fan of the series in general; but the art style looks exactly like Mashima’s to where you can barely see a difference, and just reading it made me personally feel like as if the series never ended to begin with. I felt a sense of contempt and happiness when reading it, it seems a bit short the first chapter; but I can see why since they might want that illusion it never ended.
