Opinion on turf wars part two

Now there’s minor spoilers in this if you haven’t read it yet so I wouldn’t read this post, therefore fair warning.

I did like this one and a lot of my personal opinions and theories in part one were mainly correct. I did have a feeling that the whole relationship with Korra and Asami should’ve been kept secret for awhile until things calmed down and they were ready to come out. (As stated in my review on part 1, I do agree with Korra’s folks that while this is a wonderful thing to see, it should be private matters for a bit because if word got out about Korra and Asami’s relationship, it could lead to a bad ending) otherwise I felt it was wise that they’re friends and family learned first before coming out in the public.

I did notice in the last comic Mako’s reaction and how he was handling the relationship in this part of the comic. I don’t think Mako is homophobic to be truthful, he always was and will be laid back on certain subjects; I think he was bothered by the whole thing since it’s both his ex girlfriends now dating each other and he possibly thought he may have had the chance to get back together with either Korra or Asami, so this was of course a shock to him that they’re dating (who knows, maybe he’ll be a sperm donor for when a Korrasami child comes along haha).

And as for the whole spirit portal situation, I think maybe the best move for Korra is to definitely have a day to speak with the spirits and show she truly is on their side, maybe also see if it is possible to do something with the portal since it’s obvious a lot of issues will arise in the future with it. She might want some form of protection on it or maybe go avatar on Raikou’s rear. Cause as far as I can see with this spirit portal situation, there may never be a good outcome and she might want to find a way let both sides have their way.

Opinion on Legend of Korra Turf Wars part 1

I read the first part of the Turf Wars comic yesterday and I throughly enjoyed it. I found the LGBTQ+ history in the world of avatar to be quite interesting, and to be honest I personally thought Kyoshi was lesbian (but turns out she was Bi so I guess I was close enough lol) but I do have to say I kinda agree with Korra’s parents on wanting her to keep certain aspects of her life private.

Don’t get me wrong when I say this, I support LGBTQ+ but I believe in keeping certain things in life private like real names, addresses, and things that occur in the family (unless it’s a funny story.) the reason I agree is because I have a feeling in my gut their new enemy is going to try and take advantage of Korra and Asami’s new found relationship later on in the story.

I think he’s going to realize the relationship between them and as a way of getting back at Korra, he’s going to cause some form of harm to Asami. Otherwise I think when things calm down a little more and time goes on in Korra and Asami’s relationship, maybe then they should come out publicly.

But I also enjoyed the vacation between Korra and Asami and found the artwork to be done very colorfully and beautiful.
