“I don’t see what the big deal is.” Gajeel grumbled as he plopped his large body down on his in-law’s leather couch.

Levy who was busy fluttering around the room with various Christmas decorations rolled her eyes as she picked up the pile of stockings from the storage tub, “That’s because you’ve never had the opportunity to experience it! It’s wonderful!”

“It’s cold.” He replied matter-of-factly, watching as she waddled her way to the fireplace to begin hanging the stockings.

Pausing before she hung the next stocking she turned around with a smirk, “You’re a big baby. And need I remind you, you’re better built than I am for the cold and I do just fine!”

8; First kiss

I can’t help but say that their first kiss was the “kiss of life” during the Tartaros Arc, so here’s a bit of the aftermath! 😉

~~~~~
The soft scratch of the quill on the paper was soothing to his senses, and Gajeel found himself beginning to doze as Levy shuffled her notes. They had just finished one of the minor missions that the council had sent them on, and she was finishing up filling out the reports for their supervisor. It had been a success, of course, being an easy job.
Well, for the most part, at least.
Gajeel stifled a yawn as Levy paused in her writing, glancing at him from behind her red rimmed glasses before blushing and turning back to her notes. He’d never said it out loud, but he was appreciative that she had taken them with her when they had joined the council. It had been nearly three months since Fairy Tail had disbanded and they found themselves accepted by the council. Not that he had been worried where they’d end up if they hadn’t, it was rather easy to pick up jobs anywhere, and they were friends with a good number of smaller guilds as well. Hell, he’d be willing to bet that most of the former guild members were offered a home once the word had gotten out. As for him and Lily, they didn’t need too much. But for Levy?
That nagged at him like nothing ever could have before, much to his annoyance. He hated the thought of her being somewhere he couldn’t see her, if she would stay out of trouble (debatable, since trouble seemed to find her more often). The very thought of her alone twisted his gut, and he hated it. The feeling was foreign to him, and he could never figure out how to make it go away.
Maybe it’s because of that blasted kiss,’ he’d reason to himself. He couldn’t bring himself to tell Lily about what had happened in those dark waters, let alone mention it to Levy. It certainly annoyed him though. He’d been on the verge of loosing consciousness when he felt the feather like brush of her lips on his, giving him another chance at life.
Of course, there was no opportunity to relish the action afterwards. But now, he wondered if she remembered it too, if she had been plagued by dreams of wanting more. He certainly did, and secretly cherished the fantasies due to the kiss. There were times he wondered, though. Like whenever she stopped to stare at him when she thought he hadn’t noticed. She’d blush every time she was caught, and blustered when she tried to pretend otherwise. It was adorable the way she tried to play it off, and he teased her whenever he could about it.
It was the way she pouted that caused him to stop, however. His gut would twist, and he could feel heat creep up his neck as the urge to lean down and gently kiss her. This time, he wanted to take his time and savor her taste, free from any danger.
love it!!! 😀
