Well I just saw the news:

If anyone has seen the news for tumblr, it’s now going to be adult content free. Personally, I wanted to try and keep posting on tumblr and hoped they’d change things for the better and still let us post freely; but you can’t have your cake and eat it too sometimes huh?

I saw @rboz reveal she’s going to move off tumblr to a new website for her NSFW and I think after seeing tumblr announce this, I’m going to research for a new home that gives us all the freedom tumblr used to and will allow me to post my content worry free. I may consider pixiv or maybe newgrounds, maybe become more active on deviantart again.

Anyone wanna join me on this feel free. Any suggestions for a new home, feel free to reply to me.

And to tumblr, you have majorly hurt yourself on this. And you’re just going to hurt yourself even more.

I wanted to say something about this situation on tumblr.

As you all know, tumblr has recently been removed from the IOS store on Apple and also has caused some major issues with their tagging situation due to having pornography on their website. A lot of people have recently came forward and pointed out that because of this, it’s affecting creators (like myself) from getting recognition for their work on tumblr and causing people who do a lot of their advertising on tumblr to lose profit.

I personally agree that this is a huge flaw in their system. While I understand it’s to filter out porn bots and all the nasty nasty stuff, it’s basically also removing internet freedom for the content creators. I’m currently reading a web comic series on Webtoons that reminds me a hell of a lot like the situation were in. It’s called Let’s Play by Mongrel Marie (seriously go read it it’s REALLY good!)

The idea behind Let’s Play is it follows a young woman named Sam who dreams of becoming an indie gaming artist, she posts her first video game on an indie gaming engineer website only to have it tested by a famous “Viewtuber” who didn’t play the game correctly and thanks to that, mob mentality occurred and shot her chances of becoming a game designer down before it started.

At one point in the series, Sam decides with her coworkers to try and figure out a solution to the issue with the gaming engineer and prevent mob mentality for good on the website. I feel right now with tumblr, the exact same thing is occurring. I think while they want the website to stay safe and be a healthy environment, the new system has created a big flaw in their website.

I personally think instead of creating more mob mentality and shooting the website down, we should try and think of a permanent solution to prevent things like this from happening again. I’m creating this post for everyone so they can share it and if any web designers who aren’t affiliated with tumblr are reading this, I want you to post your ideas on this post so if tumblr does see this, it can take these ideas to improve their situation.

Personally, I’m beginning to think Tumblr outgrew it’s current serving system and might need a new one to run the website.

Yay I got my tumblr notifications back!

Idk if any of you had the same issues, but for the longest time, my tumblr notifications wouldn’t appear. I tried everything to get it back, but it wouldn’t work. Well, I finally got my first notifications in the longest time and I’m happy I know when I get a message, reblog or something!

I’ve known for the longest time and seen on my close to three years here on tumblr people getting harassed, amazing artists and writers going because of anon hate. I’m from America, and in America we don’t tolerate bullying of any kind. In fact, it became illegal in some states and you could go to prison for a few years because of it.

But today, after seeing my friend get bullied for something she likes was the last straw for me. I turned off the ask anon on my page since I started on here close to three years ago. And I know people who’re shy like using the anon ask but I personally don’t see a point in it anymore!

This became nothing but a tool for assholes and trolls to cause harm to everyone on tumblr who enjoys something! That’s why I’m making this proposal: I want to stop anon hate once and for all. So my proposal is this:

We spread the word, show our stories of anon hate here on tumblr and tag the support staff multiple times UNTIL THEY SEE that the anon option is not needed. I want to propose THAT ANON OPTION IS SHUT DOWN FOR GOOD! How long until all these trolls and assholes run all the good people off of tumblr? This is supposed to be a fun website, not one about getting picked on or threatened with rape. I’m going to call this “Project: Stop Anon Hate”.

Anyone who reads this, tag the tumblr staff, post your evidences of anon hate occurring towards you, reblog, signal boost, I don’t care. Just get the word out!!!!!

Ok I was tagged by @piranha-pk thank you for tagging me! So the idea is I got to tell 3 things about myself that my followers don’t know. So here it comes:

1. I’m a 19 year old woman I turn 20 this coming April.

2. I have 4 electric guitars (hence half my username) and have been playing electric guitar for close to four years. (I play mainly classic rock/ heavy metal).

3. I can’t stand today’s music or Vampire Knight. Legitimately can’t stand either. I do like a few of songs of today’s music but otherwise it makes me nauseous. As for vampire knight, storyline is terrible and makes no sense in my opinion.

Bonus: (what the hell)
4: I am learning how to speak Japanese. I am fluent in recognizing hiragana, I am somewhat fluent in katakana but I have yet to learn kanji.
