My cuz had an interesting theory that made me think about it hard… She said to me “What if it isn’t Elaine’s soul that came to save Ban’s–like mostly everyone thinks or speculates just because of the next chapter’s title and all that? What if it was actually Zhivago’s? His grave is within the same area where Ban, the 2 girls and the enemies are at.” Is what she actually said. And I thought about it and I sort of agree that it could/might possibly be his soul instead of Elaine’s. Not only Elaine thinks of Ban as her ‘beloved’ also Zhivago cuz he loved him like a son and he taught him how to be a thief. She could be 100 % wrong ofc–she was basing it off of that, but mostly on the 2nd to the last page when it showed Elaine still clearly alive and yelling “No… Stop!!” ; She couldn’t have “all of a sudden went back to being dead” after that page. Actually, anyways, anyone can be wrong since anything is possible… “Nakaba could be trolling us for all we know” like “no one dies” what my friend had told me. I hope so, but I wouldn’t find it funny much if that would be the case…

I thought the same, what if it is zhivago coming to rescue Ban so he could make up for not saving him all those years ago?
